親愛的爸爸

親愛的爸爸，

感謝神給我機會，這十年來得以日夜陪伴並且照顧您和媽媽的生活起居。五年前送走了媽媽，五年後的今天又送走了您！

這十年來，您仍是召會聖徒們的劉遂弟兄，而我這老六，卻越來越像您的管家婆。我花心思哄你、告誡你這不能吃、那不能作⋯，直到您最後臥病在床。

那一天，您的雙手握著我的手，放在您的臉上，親吻著我的手說：『謝謝你，98歲的我，不能再改變什麼了！』此刻，我知道剛強的爸爸，這回是再也起不來了，但您的心卻仍然是那麽柔細⋯⋯。

老爸~我愛您！

Dear Grandpa.
I remember as a young child being super excited to go to San Francisco to see my grandparents. Their house was close to the ocean you could smell the salty breeze. No matter how many times I went to their house, I would run to Grandpa’s library and count all of his National Geographic magazines, wondering if he had actually read all of them. He would stroll in with his sun flower seeds, sit down, and just observe quietly with a smile on his face.

At our church conferences, with thousands in attendance, and he’d walk up to the podium and give a wonderful testimony and preach the gospel. Everyone listened. I just sat there thinking “Wow! That’s my grandpa!”

The last time I was able to see my Grandpa was in 2018 when my Grandma passed. Even through his grief and sadness he was still leading the church in Hualien. When we were at home, he’d offer me snacks, ask me how I was, and we’d just chat for a little bit. I will forever treasure that time with him.

My Mom has been there with my grandpa for the last 11 years. She has been the best caretaker, daughter, Mom, and grandma. Mom, you are the most selfless person on this earth and I love you.

In Taiwan, on July 30th at 3:10am, my Grandpa went to be with the Lord and reunite with my Grandma. I will miss you, I’m sad you never got a chance to meet your great-grand daughter Luna. Rest in peace Grandpa ❤️.

“When I picture my Grandfather, the image I always see is his kind eyes and soft smile. Whenever we would speak on FaceTime, he always called me beautiful. I will miss hearing him say my name, but I am happy he has reunited with my Popo. Love you, Grandpa!”
